We have spoken to many of our customers since we started Airdropgolf that had reservations about starting their subscription, but once they did, they realised they were unfounded. We understand that you may have these concerns too which is why we wanted to address each one in turn from a balanced viewpoint.
I’ll be stuck with items I don’t like
We can’t guarantee this won’t be the case, but we do several things to help reduce the likelihood of this happening. Firstly, via our Clubhouse Area, we reveal what the main apparel item will be for the following month. That includes the brand and the type of clothing. Therefore, you can skip the month if you don’t like what is coming up.
Secondly, we ask you for your style preference as part of our sign-up questionnaire which means we can tailor your deliveries to your needs. This means you will not get bright jazzy colours if you are a traditional golfer.
Finally, we offer a first box guarantee. That means that if you don’t like your delivery, you can simply send it back to us, no questions asked. After that point, we will always do all we can to exchange any items you don’t like.
Our members do sometimes receive items they don’t like still. These are generally the smaller accessories which they can’t make use of such as chipping nets or ball markers. Given they are often small in value, they are typically given away to friends and family as presents. These instances are minimal which keeps subscribers coming back month after month.
Everything is old stock from last season
Unlike other subscription box companies, we meet with major clothing reps to see what is coming up for the season ahead. Then we pre-order items what we think will go together and match your chosen style. This means that you are always going to receive in season stock. We want you to feel like you are right up to date with the latest golf fashion and therefore putting very old items in your boxes would be against our objectives.
You may at times get items which you perceive as being old. This is because some brands carry pieces across from one season to the next. Just be sure to double check that you are comparing like for like if you choose to find your item only. There are very subtle differences between models, but they can make all the difference to price.
I will be tied in to a subscription
Many subscription boxes will tie you in to either 3, 6 or 12 months. However, we took a very early decision not to do this. We only want you to stay with us if you are enjoying your deliveries. Therefore, we offer a cancel anytime policy with no minimum period. Another thing that many subscriptions will do is insist that you receive a delivery every month. We know that this is not ideal, especially in the winter when conditions aren’t great. Therefore, we offer 1,2 or 3-month subscription intervals and allow you to switch between them as you please. So, if you are playing less in the winter, switch to a delivery every 3 months and then back to 1 in the summer.
I will receive low end brands that no one else wants
This is a valid concern when dealing with most subscription companies. However, we do things differently. For the main apparel items we only work with the big brands such as Adidas, Nike, Callaway, Puma, Cobra and Penguin. So, you know you are going to receive a top quality item. Then, most of our accessories are from these brands too. We will sometimes include our own branded items in the box, or brands which you may not have heard of because we want you to discover new items. That is part of the fun of it. However, as previously mentioned, this will be for the equipment and accessories only.
We have worked very hard to make our offering as flexible and transparent as possible so you can be sure that you are getting items you are going to love. By making use of your Clubhouse Area, you can tailor your subscription to your game. Consider skipping months, changing the frequency of you subscription or even changing your style preference. Your game is unique and therefore so should your subscription be.
